it's odd that they have a section entitled "bluegrass" but not "music" oh well...
i recently downloaded the most recent sufjan steven's e.p. entitled "all delighted people raise their hands" and it's phenomenal. it really sounds as though he's been training with a vocal coach and listening to the dirty projectors a lot. most of his steve reich influence is noticeably absent which is disappointing, but nevertheless he's made a really wonderful work. i mention steve reich because i think one of the things that makes sufjan stevens special is the fact that he can enter territory usually left to experimental musicians and he does this all while maintaining excellent melodies and interesting composition. i think this is what really sets him apart and lets his music stand on its own after all the hype has dispersed. you can buy it for 5$ or just stream it free at http://koreanfriendfinder.com let me know what you think about it!
